Who we are

The data controller is the law firm ACTIO | Tatarusanu & Partners, a professional law firm registered with the Bucharest Bar, with its office at 21 Tudor Arghezi Street, 1st Floor, District 2, Bucharest. You can write to us atoffice@actio.ro or call +40 734 803 270.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. Questions about this notice go to the address above and are handled by the coordinating attorney.

What we process, and why

We process the data you enter in the contact form — name, email address, telephone number where you give one, subject and the content of your message — for the sole purpose of answering your request.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a legal-assistance retainer, and, where your message does not lead to a mandate, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to the firm.

We do not use this data for marketing. We do not sell it and we do not transfer it outside the firm, save where an outside adviser is strictly necessary to answer you, or where we are required to disclose it by law.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not profile visitors. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not disclose your IP address to a third-party font provider.

Our hosting provider processes standard server logs — including IP address and the time of the request — for security and to keep the site available. The contact form applies a short-term, per-address limit on the number of submissions, to stop automated abuse.

How long we keep it

Messages that do not lead to a mandate are kept for 12 months from the last exchange, and then deleted.

If a mandate follows, the correspondence becomes part of the file and is kept for the period required by the rules of the lawyers' profession and by our archiving duties — as a rule, 10 years from the closing of the file.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any of them, write to office@actio.ro. We answer within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP — dataprotection.ro.

Some of these rights are limited where the data is covered by professional secrecy, which the law places above the general regime of access.

One note on what this site is not

Sending a message through this site does not, by itself, create a legal-assistance retainer and does not oblige us to take on the file. Nothing on this site is legal advice on your situation. Professional secrecy applies as provided by Law no. 51/1995.
